Art Leaders

The Art Team work together to foster and develop their artistic abilities while developing friendships and interpersonal skills within the group. They expand their understanding of art concepts through team-based projects that allow for both individual and collaborative art pieces. These students may assist teachers during Visual Art lessons, organise events like the Stocky Showcase, and help take care of resources within the art room.

We have art leaders to give students voice and agency in shaping their artistic growth, build confidence, self-expression, teamwork and inspire their peers to get creative in the way they view and engage with their world. Art leaders are role models, demonstrating that creativity and imagination can be the catalyst for innovative ways of thinking. Students learn that art enables us to find our true selves and proudly share it with the world.

Students are provided the opportunity to apply for a role in the team by submitting an art piece demonstrating their talents, abilities and love of art.
